Martine is originally from Abitibiwinni First Nation and is now residing in the Kitigan Zibi community. She has been employed with the Tribal Council since its conception in 1992. Martine is the only member on staff who is completely trilingual, fluently speaking Algonquin, English and French. Martine is the Executive Secretary and ensures that all aspects of the Tribal Council office runs smoothly. She maintains the responsibility of preparing and translating the agendas and minutes of council meetings, she is the keeper of all official documents, she prepares any travel arrangements and makes all the necessary reservations, and composes letters for the signature of the Director General and the Grand Chief. |
